Lime kiln can also be called lime pit, which has many advantages such as low heat consumption, high lime activity degree, strong adaptability of the fuel, simple structure and low manufacturing price. It is suitable to be used in the steel industry to make used of blast furnace gas and coke oven gas as well as in the chemistry and calcium carbide industry to make use of calcium carbide furnace gas or pulverized coal multi-fuel combustion technology, to reach the goal of improving the lime quality and saving energy and calcining high-quality active lime.

Performance Features of Lime Kiln

This machine adopts margin transmission and drives the grinding mill to rotate by the electric motor through reducer and rack wheel and pinion. The grinding mill adopts air-swept structure with a drying cabin, making it have big adaptability to the water content of the raw coal. Inside the powder grinding chamber, the ladder-shaped lining boards, double-ladder lining boards and ripple-shaped lining boards are arranged in combined type, which improves the powder grinding ability of the grinding mill. The feeding device adopts window-shades structure which enhances the heat exchange ability of the grinding mill and can effectively avoid material blockage in the feeding mouth of the coal mill.

Working Principle of Lime Pit

This active lime kiln adopts combined type scale sealing, so that the air leakage factor is smaller than 10%. Compound type refractory matter is adopted to reduce the radiant heat loss. The infilling type circular or square vertical cooler that can be divisionally ventilated can cool the temperature of the lime that is discharged from the cooler to 80℃+ of the environment temperature for the convenience of transportation and storage, and it can also pre-heat the in-kiln secondary air to over 700℃ to make full use of the waste heat and save energy.
