Some Common Malfunctions and Solutions of Impact Crusher

Maintaining impact crusher correctly will give a lot of help to the future production, while inappropriate maintenance will not work. Here Hongxing Machinery will list some common malfunctions and their solutions to you:

Common Malfunctions:

1.The rotor and striker are both casting which are coarse on surface. The contact surface is only point contact or line contact. The cross-pein wedge bolt used as connector and the inner bore of striker are also coarse on surface and without good contact.

2.There is a big gap between the cross-pein wedge bolt and bore of striker, so the positioning function of bolt cannot work.

3. Liner plate falls off and the cross-pein wedge bolt cracks.

4.The cross-pein wedge bolt connecting rotor and striker is M18, while the striker bore and rotor bore is 23-25mm.

So we can see from above: the inner bore of striker is too large, while the cross-pein wedge bolt whose function is connecting and positioning is too thin. In addition, the contact surface of striker and rotor is coarse, so striker cannot overcome centrifugal force with the frication force on the contact surface. All this leads to relative displacement of striker and have conflicts with feeding plate. The rotor has a high speed and large power, so its conflicts with feeding plate can break the liner plate and cross-pein wedge bolt. The rotor and striker's entering into crushing chamber will exacerbate the equipment damage and cause serious deformation. So the displacement of striker is the direct reason causing the serious damage of impact crusher.

Some Tips about Its Maintenance:

1. Install a convex and concave platform on the contact surface of striker and rotor to position and avoid the relative displacement.

2. Milling the surface of rotor and striker to improve its surface quality and keep good contact.
