When the ore granularity needing selecting is large, we can choose an model that is suitable for selecting ores of thick particle size. When the ore is easy to select, or the selecting particle size is fine, of high grade and low pH value, we should choose a type of flotation machine of high enrichment ratio.

2. According to the size of the ore dressing plant. Generally speaking, large scaled ore dressing plants should choose large sized flotation machine, and the small and medium-sized ones should choose medium and small sized flotation machines.

3. The refined selection operation is mainly aimed at improving ore concentrate grade. The flotation foam layer should be enough thin in order to separate the gangue. Te flotation machine of big inflating volume is unfavorable. Thus, the flotation machine for refined selection should be separated from the ones for roughing and scavenging operations.
