Previously, ore beneficiation plant uses gravity separation technology to dress the materials, and the main equipment includes crushing machine, jigger, centrifugal ore separator, spiral chute, spiral separator and shaking table. However, as its processing capacity is small, the ore dressing grade is low and the recycling ratio is low, this technology is gradually phased out. In recent years, the iron ore beneficiation technology has made fast development and progress, and the main dressing technologies are strong magnetic separation technology with electromagnetic pulse high gradient magnetic separator as the main machine and reverse flotation separation technology with flotation machine as the main machine.
The iron ore beneficiation process goes like this: send the 0.5-5mm raw ores to material hopper and the vibrating motor will vibrate to distribute the materials, and the feeding amount can be precisely adjusted through hand wheel. The magnetic roll is driven by the adjustable-speed motor, and the rotary speed can be adjusted by the speed governing watch, which will control the output of the magnetic separator and the grade of the ore concentrate. The iron ore particles are sent by belt conveyor to upper magnetic roll for separation. As the iron ore particles have magnetism, they will be immediately absorbed by the strong magnetic field onto the magnetic roll, and the gangue particles that do not have magnetism or weak magnetism will not be absorbed onto the magnetic roll. With the rotation of the magnetic roll, the ore particles will be absorbed onto the magnetic roll, but the gangue particles will be thrown in front of the ore partition board, and the ore particles will be brought by the magnetic roll to the demagnetizing area and will automatically fall into the first ore collecting hopper to become ore concentrate. As the gangue particles may contain some ore particles with weaker magnetism, they will go to the lower magnetic roll for separation, and the separated final ore particles will go to the second ore collecting hopper to become final products, and the thrown gangue will be discharged from the tailing mouth, and then the magnetic separation process ends.
